In addition to many extraordinary fashion and design boutiques, you will find the most sought bars and restaurants here, as well as internationally renowned clubs.
Local recreational areas are found on the banks of the Spree River and in the sprawling parklands of Volkspark Friedrichshain which lends itself to all sorts of sporting activities. Culture aficionados are within easy reach of many downtown museums and famous sights or venues.
Koppenstrasse itself is a quiet side street connecting the sprawling avenue Karl-Marx-Allee, famous for its vintage Russian-inspired buildings from the 1950s, with the Media-City compound on the riverbank. The surrounding area is defined by a historically grown mix of various architectural styles. Both Karl-Marx-Allee and Frankfurter Allee are within walking distance, providing a wide spectrum of shopping venues for any kind of need.
Schools and preschools are located in the immediate vicinity, just minutes away. The nearby hipster neighbourhood of Simon-Dach-Strasse in Friedrichshain is rivalled by the bohemian Wrangelstrasse quarter on the opposite bank of the Spree River, in Kreuzberg. This part of Berlin has evolved in recent years to become one of the absolute hot spots, and counts among the city’s most coveted residential areas.
