Costs for the purchase of a property in Germany

In addition to payment of the purchase price you must also take responsibility for expenses such as notary costs, Land Registry registration, the tax on the purchase of properties and the agency commission.

Notary fees and the cost of Land Registry registration are around 2.5% of the purchase price.

The tax on the purchase of properties varies from Land to Land. In Berlin amounts to 6% of the purchase price.

The agency fee usually amounts to 7.14% of the purchase price. The amounts are inclusive of VAT. In some cases the property is sold without commission to the buyer or with a discounted commission. Each property description shows the agency fee.

The price of the properties listed in our ads does not includes these additional costs.
